With iOS 14 and beyond, Apple has introduced new ways to customize your iPhone. We'll explore how to use these tools to make your device feel more like yours.
Home Screen

Whether you use your phone during the day to stay in touch, keep track of important events or manage your fitness and wellness goals, your Home Screen is where many of these actions happen. That's why it needs to be arranged to work best for you.

You can customize the Home Screen by adding and hiding apps, app folders or widgets. You can also change the wallpaper. And you can easily reorder your Home Screen pages by long pressing on an app icon to enter jiggle editing mode and then dragging the icons around.

You can even create your own custom widgets to display information from various apps in a single place, such as at-a-glance weather reports, news headlines or calendar events. Plus, you can curate and flip through different widgets throughout the day to get a snapshot of your activity or progress in a given area without having to open each app.
Lock Screen

Apple’s iOS software is full of ways to customize the iPhone. From Lock Screen wallpapers and widgets to app icons and a system-wide dark mode, there are more than 100 ways to make an iPhone feel truly your own.

The lock screen is the gateway to your private content and information. It’s also a powerful tool that can help you get important notifications, manage your Apple Wallet, access Siri Suggestions and more.

You can control what appears on your lock screen from the Notifications settings menu. For example, you can choose whether to see notifications grouped into stacks by app or displayed as a count or list. You can also set your preferences for displaying a preview of Messages, Mail and Calendar messages on the lock screen.

You can create multiple custom Lock Screens and link them to Focus modes. Switching from one Focus to another changes the Lock Screen’s background, clock font and widget placement.
Control Center

Control Center provides quick access to your device's most important features from a single panel. You can use it to activate or deactivate Airplane Mode, adjust your display brightness or volume and more. Using the Settings app, you can customize the controls in your Control Center to fit your needs.

The Control Center is accessible by swiping down from the top of your screen. This action also displays the feature even when your iPhone or iPad is locked. Some built-in features, such as Airplane Mode and Personal Hotspot, cannot be removed from the Control Center.

Other tools can be added to the panel, including the Camera, Flashlight, Calculator and Stopwatch apps. You can also add HomeKit enabled devices that you link in the Home app, such as your thermostat or lighting system. You can add multiple controls and apps to your Control Center, and you can also reorder the layout by tapping and holding to drag items to a new position.
Apps

Apps are a central part of your iPhone experience. They provide you with easy access to all of your favorite apps, make it easier to find and use the features and tools you like, and can help keep your home screen organized and user-friendly.

If you want to give your iPhone a fresh new look, changing the apps' icons is the way to go. It's possible to do this using Apple's Shortcuts app, but the process can be tedious and time-consuming.

If you'd prefer to skip the standard method, we recommend trying ScreenKit App, a free design app that lets you customize app icons and widgets in hundreds of unique themes and styles. It also makes it easy to install your new aesthetically-matched app icons without the need for the standard Shortcuts app method, saving you tons of time and effort. Download the app to begin your customization journey! You'll love it. Promise! - All App Icons and Widgets are created with modern UI trends.
