Creating a Fleece Blanket - On Your Own In Only A Couple Simple Steps

If you've ever wanted to make a fleece blanket but didn't want to spend a lot of time on it, you should try it and see for yourself how easy it is. You can make a stylish and comfortable blanket that will look great anywhere in just a few easy steps.

To start, go to a wholesale fabric store in your city and buy two pieces of fabric that are about two and a half yards long. The size is usually up to you, but a fleece for an adult should be around this size. If you're making a fleece for a child, you can trim it down to two yards if you'd like. Depending on how you plan to use the throw, you can choose a microfleece, lighter and better for younger children, or a denser fleece. Most people choose a medium fleece because it is soft and warm enough to wear all year without being too heavy.

When choosing your materials, you should choose a print with either one plain colour, two colours that match, or two colours that go against each other. Your choice should go with the rest of the decor in the room. Once you're ready to start and have chosen your material, lay the pieces out flat on a table or a clean floor and make sure they line up and don't have any folds or wrinkles. Always cut off any extras on the sides so that the pieces are all the same size.

Use safety pins or something similar to hold the edges together. Cut a 5-inch square from each corner, and then cut a 1-inch square from the rest of the fleece's edge similarly. After this is done, take the extra fringed strands and tie them together in a simple square knot. Then, start attaching them at each corner to strengthen the border as you go around.

Once you've finished this step, you're done. You now have a great new addition to your decor and can use it immediately. Fleece throws are easy to make and make great gifts for baby showers, holidays, or even when moving into a new home. Fleece fluffy blankets are easy to make and last a long time. They are a great addition to any room and can keep the whole family warm and cosy.
