State of the Game : Hello Conquerors! I am currently reworking the entirety of Conquest of Gerazania. It will no longer be a tabletop game and will instead become a single player RPG. You will explore the world and lore with your character, learning about everything that made Gerazania come into existence. My main goal for this game is for it to be heavily story driven but also have nice combat, crafting, and other mechanics to make the game enjoyable. With this, the store page will of course undergo heavy revamp as all new images, trailers, and assets are uploaded for you all to see! DevBlog #1 : Hello Conquerors! I wanted to go ahead and start a weekly blog that I put out to keep anyone who is interested in the game updated with the development process; especially going towards the relaunch of Early Access with almost an entirely different game. There also may be a lot of people who may be confused at why the game is taking such a drastic turn during the development process, especially since that it is already currently Early Access. When I first started this project I wanted to create a tabletop game that you can play against your friends similar to that of maybe Warhammer, Warmachines and Hordes, etc. However, as development went on I began to find some of the things, namely multiplayer, that I wanted to include in the game were just simply out of my reach and I was over ambitious. I went back to the drawing board and began to come up with some ideas of what I could do, with my current skill set, in order to make this a great game. Well, I came up with creating a single player RPG game, similar in some ways to that of Divinity, or Dungeons and Dragons, or maybe Icewind Dale, just those types of games. I went to coding this and it become more realistic as each day passed, and now that I finally have a framework that I can work with, I am ready to focus on making this new product and putting it out onto Steam. I am still working on how I am going to do a lot of the mechanics, namely combat, but, the game will be heavily story driven where you kind of have your character, thrown into the world with almost no direction, and it will be up to the player to find out what to do on their own. My goal is to make the world as alive as possible, with all sorts of different stories that play into the world of Gerazania, where your choice would matter in what you do in any given situation.. DevBlog #4 : Greetings Conquerors, Today is a very important day, and so is tomorrow. This weekend is the Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans Day, because of this, Alpha v1.0.5 will be delayed until the latest of Wednesday, 11/14.. Update v1.0.4 : Greetings Conquerors, This update is a small one, I just implemented some minor quality of life fixes and updates! General: You will now be able to adjust your volume at the main menu. Allowed more keys to be bound for different actions in the keybindings menu. Disabled the controls menu while not on the main menu, there were some minor issues. Thank you.. Upcoming Features! : Hello Conqueror's, While Alpha v1.0.0 has recently released to be playtested and enjoyed, I am working on implementing a few things that will make things better overall. These are two things mainly, *Custom Keymapping *Menu/Settings These two things will be added into the game shortly to elevate your experience while enjoy your many deaths or victories! Moving forward, some of the features that will be releasing soon will be primarily content updates(unless any major bugs come up*fingers crossed*), you will be able to purchase upgrades using the coins you have collected on your journey and travel through the story in the form of chapters.. The Prototype Has Arrived! Alpha v1.0.0 : Greetings Conqueror's! I know that some of you have been long awaiting for the prototype of the platformer to release; well, here it is! Currently there is a prologue that will teach you how to play the game and allow you to get the general feel of everything before throwing you in the wilderness to conqueror or save Gerazania! I am tirelessly working to begin releasing the chapters for the story and hopefully, full release! This version has a lot of new and interesting things, you will be able to begin learning about your role in Gerazania and how everything will end up flowing together. You will be able to play the prologue, which is a tutorial style level and boss that you have to escape. I am working really hard on integrating the story into the game with interesting level and boss design; which will be released by chapters.. DevBlog #3 : Greetings Conquerors, There has been a few updates to mark the revival of Conquest of Gerazania. It has been really rough getting everything situated, but now everything is on track! The next few updates will be content updates and any major bug fixes; players will be able to continue the story in the next level which will prove to be even more challenging than the prologue. There will be around 20 levels to explore the full story of each book and each level representing a "chapter" of that book. My goal is to make each level more engaging than the last, where they get increasingly longer, have more pickups, puzzles, and enemies. I am aiming to complete the first book "Fate of Gerazania" as quickly as possible so that the game can fully release and then work on improving existing mechanics and systems and implement other books so that you guys can fully enjoy the story. You guys can also begin expecting a DevBlog to be posted every sunday as well! Thank you.. Hotfix v0.0.7.1 : Thank you again for everyone who has purchased the game! I am releasing a minor hotfix for some minor issues which are displayed below. General Created an exit game button on the main menu so that players can easily quit the application. Units - Practice Mode Fixed an issue where Elite Knight could be selected. Fixed an issue where Legendary Elite Fae Sorceress could be selected.. Update v1.0.1 : Greetings Conqueror's, I went ahead and fixed some quality of life issues and also reduced the overall difficulty of the Whitzen encounter. General: Text should now properly change color depending on who is speaking. Player: The player should no longer spin from not moving and being hit a lot. Enemies: Whitzen's health was reduced to 540(from 800) Void and Arcane floor pillar damage during the Whitzen encounter reduced by half. Void and Arcane spell book damage during the Whitzen encounter reduced by half. The player should no longer take damage from colliding with Whitzen.
