Why does one got to use a Concrete Bonding Agent in Concrete Mix?
When the side of the concrete floor becomes destructed there are generally two choices of either demolishing the ground and starting again or resurfacing the prevailing concrete.
Replacing the whole concrete floor and resurfacing is become costly, both financially and in terms of your time also . it's also a waste of your time & money if the ground remains structurally sound.
Further solution is to use the fresh concrete mix on the highest of the old surface.
The cement within a concrete mix doesn't contain any natural bonding agents. So, when fresh concrete is applied on the highest of an existing layer of concrete, both surfaces won’t join or fix together properly.
Once the highest layer is cured and set, it'll simply sit on top as a separate layer. this may not construct a robust serviceable floor.
A concrete bonding agents are essential to be applied first onto the prevailing surface of the concrete to make sure that the fresh concrete will successfully adhere.
This is also true for floor repairs if the concrete is employed to fill the gaps caused by damage. The new concrete layer won’t be properly fixed with the old one without the assistance of the bonding agents.
