The MacBook Pro is a line of Macintosh convenient PCs presented in January 2006, by Apple Inc. It is the better quality model of the MacBook family, sitting over the purchaser centered MacBook Air, and is sold with 13-and 16-inch screens. A 17-inch variant was sold from April 2006 to June 2012. The original MacBook Pro utilized the plan of the PowerBook G4, yet supplanted the PowerPC G4 chips with Intel Core processors, added a webcam, and presented the MagSafe power connector. The 15-inch model was presented in January 2006; the 17-inch model in April. Later modifications added Core 2 Duo processors and LED-illuminated presentations.

The second-age model appeared in October 2008 out of 13-and 15-inch variations, with a 17-inch variation included January 2009. Called the "unibody" model since its case was machined from a solitary bit of aluminum, it had a more slender flush presentation, an upgraded trackpad whose whole surface comprised of a solitary interactive catch, and an overhauled console. Updates brought Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and presented Intel's Thunderbolt innovation. The third-age MacBook Pro was delivered in 2012: the 15-inch in June 2012, a 13-inch model in October. It was more slender than its archetype, made strong state stockpiling (SSD) standard, and incorporated a high-goal Retina show.

The fourth-age MacBook Pro, delivered in October 2016, embraced USB-C for all information ports and power and incorporated a shallower "butterfly"- system console. On everything except the base model, the capacity keys were supplanted with a touchscreen strip called the Touch Bar with a Touch ID sensor incorporated into the force button. The fifth-age MacBook Pro, delivered in November 2019, got back to a scissor-component console. The underlying 16-inch model with a screen set in smaller bezels was trailed by a 13-inch model in May 2020.
