The Oxfordshire-based company Travelodge operates more than 600 hotels across the United Kingdom and Ireland. It has gone on to expand its portfolio recently by acquiring five further hotels — including a site in the Costa del Sol tourism hotspot of Málaga.
All five of these new Travelodge hotels were bought from Louvre Hotels Group. What used to be the Campanile on Málaga’s Avenida de Velázquez has been renamed Travelodge Málaga Aeropuerto — three-star accommodation lying just two minutes away from Málaga Airport.
An exciting new milestone in Travelodge’s Spanish journey
The new hotel houses 114 rooms, two meeting rooms, and a restaurant, with car parking also available onsite. Travelodge Málaga Aeropuerto is also within 10 minutes’ travelling distance of the city centre and the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga conference and exhibition centre.
Travelodge already owned six hotels in Spain before adding the new hotels — including in Alicante Puerto, Barcelona del Vallès, Madrid Alcalá de Henares, and Murcia — to its tally.
What can you expect when you stay at the new Málaga hotel?
