Best Silhouette Cameo Accessories You Should Buy in 2022

Are you confused about which Silhouette Cameo accessories you should buy in 2022? Tools perform the essential functions of the Silhouette Cameo machine that can cut, emboss, deboss, etch, or stipple. Some devices can only be used with specific machines, so check to see if your Silhouette Cameo is compatible with your equipment. So, here are the Silhouette Cameo accessories you should buy in 2022.

Different Types of Blades: Silhouette Cameo Accessories
Let’s look at the Silhouette Cameo Accessories – different types of blades. There are 5-blades available Silhouette Cameo Accessories with the Cameo machine: Ratchet Blade, Premium Blade, Deep-Cut Blade, Fabric Blade, and AutoBlade. Each blade is standard-sized, so you can mainly use the same blades in the Silhouette Curios as you would in your Silhouette Portraits or Cameo. The Deep-cut blades should only be used on a Silhouette Cameo 3 or Curio, and AutoBlade should only be used on a Silhouette Cameo 3.

Silhouette blades are made from a sintered tungsten alloy that is extra sharp and durable. With the Silhouette Blade, you can cut, punch, or even score creative material with professional accuracy.

Silhouette Cameo accessories can last up to 6 months. The actual blade life depends on how much you use the machine and the type of material you cut with a blade. Frequency use, total line length for the work performed, the complexity of the designs/pattern, and the type of material being cut can all affect the size of blade life. Thick material rusts the blade more quickly. If you have noticed that the blade isn’t getting as clean as before, you’ll want to get a new one.

The density of the material you cut affects the blade’s life. Ratchet blades are not designed to cut highly thicker material such as balsa wood or rough chipboard, which could damage or dull the blade.

At the other end of the scale, fibrous paper can leave behind tiny particles that impair the blade’s cutting ability. This issue can be easily solved by carefully rotating the blade end and blowing gently to remove any particles. If your blade continues to have cutting problems, it may be time to replace it.

AutoBlade: The Silhouette AutoBlade is only available for the Silhouette Cameo 3 and can only be used in the left-hand tool holder. With these Silhouette Cameo accessories, you don’t have to change the ratchet settings manually! Just let the cutting machine do all the work for you. Silhouette Studio software gives you recommended cut settings; you can adjust these in the software if you want. Then, when you send the design to the Silhouette Cameo, the machine automatically adjusts AutoBlade to the blade setting you select in the software. Please sit back and watch the machine work its magic.

Fabric Blade: What’s the difference between a fabric blade and a ratchet blade? Nothing but color! They are color-coded, so you don’t cut fabric with a ratchet blade and vice versa. We recommended having one blade for fabric so that both blades last longer. These are the Silhouette Cameo Accessories that you should get in 2022.
