Beijing–Shenyang high-speed railway starts full-line operation

The last section of the Beijing-Shenyang high-speed rail line opened on Wednesday, opening up full train services.
The project is the key to the revitalization of northeastern China, which was once called "The birthplace of the new Chinese industry"But then the national economy suffered a great slump due to fundamental problems of the institution and structure. The entire line runs through major cities such as Beijing, Chengde, a city in northern China's Hebei Province and Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province in northeastern China. The newly opened section spans from Beijing to Chengde, while Chengde-Shenyang started operations in 2018.

The entire railway line from เกมสล็อตฟรี Shenyang to Beijing is 698 kilometers long and is designed to run at a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour.Travel time savings between Beijing Chaoyang Station and Shenyang Railway Station by an hour and a half, allowing passengers to reach their destination in two hours and 44 minutes, travel time between Beijing and Harbin, the capital of northeastern Heilongjiang Province. China's economy was reduced by an hour and a half to four and 52 minutes.Ensuring fast and comfortable travel in subzero temperatures at such speeds was a challenge for engineers.

The train has been upgraded to operate under extremely low temperatures such as minus 40 degrees Celsius. Snow protection measures have also been put in place after several tests," said Wang Ningjiang, director of the technical center at the station. Shenyang Electric Multiple Units (EMU)The project took six years to complete and required railway workers to overcome serious obstacles and technical challenges. One of the main problems is that the swollen soil in western Liaoning Province can cause the footings of the railway to swell when it gets wet. We also set up a system to monitor subsidence while laying the tracks," said Zhang Min, author of Director of the Beijing-Shenyang High Speed Rail Project (Liaoning Section) told CGTN.

Experts say the new route allows China to test the waters for innovation in future high-speed rail projects since 2018, with a total of 29 trials following the guidelines.
Some tests, such as automated driving, Beidou satellite communication systems and intelligent maintenance management systems, have already been applied to the Beijing-Shenyang high-speed rail. The new standard for intelligent high speed Railways in China, ”Wang Weiguang, head of the communications section of the Beijing-Shenyang High-Speed Railway (Liaoning), told CGTN.
Shenyang will become a traffic hub connecting the northeast rail network with the national high-speed rail network, which experts say will promote Shenyang's economic development and speed up the process of restoring the northeast region.

The Northeast is made up of three provinces named Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. It was once dubbed as the central territory of the modern socialist industry, sectors such as iron and steel, power, heavy machinery, vehicle and aircraft manufacturing, ship building and weapons are the foundations of China's industrial development. However, since 1978, when the country's reform and opening-up policies began to align China with the global economy, the region's contribution to the country's GDP has declined significantly. In August 2003, the Chinese government made a "Restoring the traditional industrial base in the Northeast

with the goal of increasing the wealth of the region and achieving rapid industrial progress. It is hoped that the Northeast will become a new pillar of the country's economy after Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao area.In 2016, the State Council approved the building of the "Liaozhongnan Economic Zone", a nine-city cluster in central and southern Liaoning Province. Shenyang and Dalian are two big cities in the cluster.
