People nowadays are running to chase their needs. In-between this busy routine, we forget to take care of our self. Your body is your responsibility.

Before moving into the topic we must understand the cardiovascular system and its importance.

Vital organ
Heart is also known as a vital organ which involves in the whole circulatory system.
The circulatory system, also called the cardiovascular system or the vascular system, is an organ system that permits blood to circulate and transport nutrients (such as amino acids and electrolytes), oxygen, carbon dioxide, hormones, and blood cells to and from the cells in the body to provide nourishment and help in fighting diseases, stabilize temperature and pH, and maintain homeostasis.

Electrical Problems
This Electrical problem occurring when there is a problem with the impulses between the Brain and the Heart. Results Cardiac Arrest.
The term Cardiac arrest is different from Heart attack.

Heart Attack
A Heart Attack is a “plumbing” problem, in which the victim may present with warning signs like chest pains. During a heart attack, the heart is still beating, but blood flow decreases due to a partially blocked or clogged artery. The person may or may not lose consciousness. Having a heart attack can lead to cardiac arrest.

Cardiac Arrest
Though a heart attack is very dangerous, cardiac arrest is much worse. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is an “electrical” problem, in which the electrical function of the heart is interrupted and the heart begins to quiver erratically, completely unable to pump oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. If you witness a teen or adult suddenly collapse and find that they are not breathing, they are suffering from cardiac arrest and require immediate CPR and AED to survive.

Key to Survival
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator – CPR and AED.
First thing you need to do is call the emergency number and then perform immediate CPR is key to survival. If an AED is available, it should be retrieved immediately and applied to the victim. Applying CPR and AED will increase the chance of survival into 90 percent. For every minute that defibrillation is delayed, survival decreases by 7 percent to 10 percent. If it is delayed by more than 10 minutes, the chance of survival in adults is less than 5 percent.
It is so important to have AEDs located in businesses, public spaces, schools, churches, gyms, etc. for witnesses can take action immediately. Waiting for EMS to arrive in many cases is too late.

Tips to Avoid Cardiac arrest
Medical emergencies can happened anywhere, in that situations we have to perform first aid and it’s not right to wait for an ambulance or other medical allowances. It is important to study CPR and AED Course and more important is to keep yourself healthy.
