This is a "8 bit" JRPG if you recall the days of NES rpg games such as Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the US) Final Fantasy, Ultima etc etc this game pay homage to those games. The Game it's self is a RPG with Turn based battles, 8 bit graphics open story (sevral endings) open decisions etc etc. I loved the 8 bit JRPG's on my nes and this game will bring you back to the good old days.. This game is the greatest thing since nestalgia!. I took a boat to my home after selling my teammates for easy money. Also I released the Goblinpocalypse before doing that.. I really love this game, even though it was made on rpg maker, there is just a little problem not big, just that you can not fullscreen, wtich is not a big, deal but i would say at least try the game, cause i like it alot.. This game is admirably designed, a retro feel with open world aspects, but honestly, played to the end, it feels more like a practical joke that considers itself hilarious to a point of being obnoxious. "The only winning move is not to play.". It's rad! I've been dying for something old school yet fresh! This game has a simple and neat premise, setting, classes, somewhat sandboxish, and feels very balanced. The art is great, the music is great, the game is clever. I recommend to anyone who likes casual RPGs, JRPGs, old school RPGs.. This is ostensibly an open world game. You can go anywhere. Walk up to any locked door. Explore distant lands. Get crushed by any random encounter. You have complete and total freedom to waste your time in any way you so desire. I like that this game takes a retro aesthetic and applies a lot of modern game design philosophy to it. When faced with a tough encounter, there is more often than not a choice offered to make things easier. This results in a more interesting game, no doubt. The music was alright, but got old after a couple hours. Very appropriate for a game like this. Just about everything else about this game is lock stock standard RPG fare. I have a tough time parsing if that's intentional or not. Like I mentioned earlier, the map is essentially unlocked from the outset, but right away you start running into monsters that can down you in one hit if you wander off into the wrong area. So, in my experience, I got exceptionally lost almost immediately. I think the intention is that you grind and keep grinding, but there is only so much time in my mortal existence, so that might be off the table. This game is truly frightening. I had no idea where to go, so I looked at a world map. Big mistake. I'd recommend this game only on three conditions. 1. You have waaaay too much time to burn 2. You are a hardcore fan of older 8-bit RPGs 3. You have an iron will. Vague instructions, NPC shenanigans and brutal difficulty spikes do not deter you. In fact, getting repeatedly beaten down only makes you stronger. You thrive in a game that forces you to deduce, nay, manufacture your own path forward. Otherwise, I'd just pass on this one. It's neat, maybe one day I'd give it another whack.. this takes you all the way back to the beggingings of JRPG's. i have enjoyed this game so far.

# Battle with artifacts : Let's move on to battle using artifacts. Artifacts must be pre-equipped, and "Active Artifacts" can be activated using the "M", "," and "." keys. Except for certain items, "Passive Artifacts" provide permanent effects. No two artifacts are exactly alike, and it would be impossible to explain the effects of all of them. So here we'll just explain about equippable artifacts. First off is artifacts for attacking. The hordes of fiends appearing in the dungeons are, to a certain extent, fixed. As long as you don't touch a whirlpool, they're generally similar. As for the fiends composing these hordes, if they're mostly on the ground, then select a ground-based artifact. If they're mostly in the air, then select an air-based artifact. If you find there are some fiends you don't like or which are hard to approach in the horde, then you can select wide-range attack artifacts, or artifacts that will allow you to attack a fiend from a distance. Not only based on fiend hordes, if you personally prefer close-range combat, then select an artifact good for close-range combat, or an artifact that gives you an "aura". Auras have elements of both active artifacts and passive artifacts. With auras, on top of gaining skill boosts, making them active will make those skills improve even further for a set amount of time. These artifacts providing auras will prove useful in protecting yourself. Activate auras at the right time to easily avoid danger. There are also fiend-weaking artifacts, artifacts activated after fulfilling certain conditions, artifacts which summon a powerful force, artifacts which take full advantage of tools. Yeah, there really are all sorts of artifacts in the game world. Select them based on your enemies, or on yourself. Which artifact you use is up to you. Start off by finding the artifacts you like.. # Fighting with Weapons : First off is battle using weapons. Use the A nd D keys to move left and right, and head toward a fiend to attack with a weapon. Use the Space key to jump. It comes in useful when hitting an airborne fiend and for evading attacks. I'll let you in on one more fighting technique. You need to face toward an enemy to attack them, but by standing still and letting your weapon do the talking, you can "parry" a fiend's attack. However parrying is pretty much useless against powerful or quick attacks. It's tricky to get the hang of it, but if you can become able to pull off a parry during a heated battle, you can come out on top and avoid needless injuries. Pay close attention to fiends' movements and status and decide whether to attack, parry, or evade. The power of decision during battle is your invisible backup. Brush up on these skills and you'll be on equal footing with even the fiercest fiends.. Steam Summer Sales! : Hi All! The Summer sales are in full swing, and the Playism catalog is joining in!!
