Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there must be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, what was it?”



“Trust,” I said.



Consider your life since it is apparently these days with regards to the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we speak about the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs acim, and ideas in the world. It's a lot like building a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. Then a good wind occurs and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It had been this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon everything else; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes right down to the essence of who is my cousin? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you're asking the question, “If someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's referring to thoughts. First He's referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's trying to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.



The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What sort of things can you purchase, these days?
