Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be something that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, what was it?”



“Trust,” I said.



Think of your life since it appears to be these days when it comes to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So when we discuss the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It's similar to creating a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. A good wind occurs and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. acim lesson 1 It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes down to the essence of who's my buddy? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this 1?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental.

What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This really is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaking about thoughts. First He's speaking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You will see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, which can be trust.



The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What sort of things would you spend money on, these days?
