Breaking Down the Wonder Fable

The useful request of ACIM's teachings is also a point of contention. Though some people report positive transformations and particular development from after the program, others discover the techniques to be useless or even harmful. The course's focus on forgiveness and love is admirable, but critics disagree that it can be excessively easy and naïve, declining to deal with the difficulties of individual relationships and the requirement for boundaries and accountability. Moreover, the… Continue

Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle By: David Hoffmeister

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there must be something that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, the thing that was it.

“Trust,” I said.
Consider your lifetime as it seems to be these days with regards to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So once we discuss the past stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to creating a big house of cards, stacking on a single card following the other. A good wind occurs and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It absolutely was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; those things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It really comes down seriously to the essence of who's my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that certain? So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental.a course in miracles

What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. That is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You can see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's precisely the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things would you purchase, in this world.
