All You Need to Know About EPS Cement Sandwich Panel

What is the EPS cement sandwich panel?

In technical terms, these are structured and insulated panels that are used as construction materials. Basically, as the name suggests, EPS cement sandwich panels consist of sandwich panels with three layers; 150mm Thick Sandwich External Wall Panel a low-density insulating core (cement, EPS Polystyrene foam) which is sandwiched between two layers of structured board on each side of the core. In normal cases, the boards are made up of fibre cement or calcium silicate.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing process is started off by fusing styrene with isobutylene under high pressure. Polystyrene is then heated within the core using a steam heating process and pressure treatments. After this, the block pieces are then shaped as per the dimensions and the EPS cement panel is sold in the market.

Characteristics

The following can be mentioned as the features of the cement sandwich panel -

Energy savings due to low thermal conductivity.
The panels are weatherproof and require low maintenance.
Excellent strength, lightweight and ease of design.
Long life expectancy.
Shock absorbent
Versatile

.

Benefits

Versatility - They can help in the construction of prefabricated houses and other small houses faster and cheaper.
Energy-saving - The panels are great in energy savings of more than 10 per cent, and are environment-friendly as there are no harmful substances, no radiation, and are reusable.
Stability - They provide more stability, life expectancy, and strength than the normal ones. A typical EPS panel can have a normal life expectancy of about 50 years.
Fireproof -Thanks to the high resistivity, these are fireproof.
Termite proof - Unlike traditional plywood or gypsum, the EPS is made up of Polystyrene and cement, and as a result cannot be degraded by termites.
More area - Due to its low thickness and weight, it saves a large space as compared to traditional construction blocks.
Waterproof - Due to the structural properties, these are also waterproof thereby making them useful in outdoor as well as indoor construction.
Sound insulation - They also provide good sound insulation and absorption of noise almost thrice of that of traditional blocks.
Simple installation - thanks to their size and shape, they help in faster and easier installation. Eg: - Where a traditional brick wall takes 6-7 days to complete, the EPS block walls can finish the job in a day.
Heat resistant - The temperature resistant property of the materials make them control the heat as well as comply with the necessary heat standards.
Lightweight and economic - One of the biggest benefits of the EPS is its lightweight without compromising on strength. This can be seen by its high strength to weight ratio. In fact, this even helps in the transportation of the blocks easily.
Wide uses - EPS cement sandwich wall panel can even be used for flooring and ceilings, as well as in roofs such as a C purlin roof design as well.
A top-class company will have highly trained and skilled engineers with vast experience in production to ensure that they produce products of the highest quality as required by the client while meeting the different standards.
