A Course in Miracles by Kenneth Wapnick

Kenneth Wapnick offers a rich and clear interpretation of A Course in Miracles. His teachings are practical and life changing.

However, in a course in miracles this one public statement Helen makes views that are startlingly different from Ken’s. He emphasizes application over theory and a universal experience over a universal theology. He also frames the Workbook as the practical arm of the Course.
The Text

The Course’s thought system is complex and profound. It is not only intellectually sophisticated, but combines spiritual inspiration with deep psychological understanding of such phenomena as belief systems and defense systems, perception and identity, and forgiveness. For many individuals, it can be challenging to grasp its profound principles and apply them to their daily lives.

For this reason, it is often helpful to study the Course with an experienced teacher. Ken Wapnick is a master of the Course and has helped thousands of students apply its teachings to their lives. His clarity and humor make him a valuable resource for learning and practicing the Course’s lessons.

In his book Living A Course in Miracles, Kenneth Wapnick provides a clear and concise overview of the Course’s thought system as well as its practical applications. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in applying the Course to their life.

While this is a great book for beginners to the Course, it is also an excellent companion for advanced students. The author addresses the common misperceptions of the Course and helps the reader understand the subtleties of its language. He also explains how to incorporate the course’s teachings into everyday life and demonstrates the power of forgiveness.

One of the most interesting aspects of this book is its discussion of Helen Schucman’s stance on interpretation. According to Judy, Helen always believed she “knew exactly what the Course said.” Nevertheless, she went along with Ken’s view that a lot of its voluminous language about an active Divine was metaphorical. If this was true, it would explain why the pamphlet read so differently than Ken’s later work.
The Workbook

Getting to grips with the thought system of A Course in Miracles can be difficult. This program illuminates the meanings intended in this great poetic text and provides real life applications to help you make the changes it suggests you need to do so. This includes the fascinating story of how the Course was first revealed and documented, as well as practical tips on how to deal with your relationships in a compassionate and life-transforming way, how to look at fear without judgment, and how true forgiveness can free you of your own self-confining existence.

Kenneth Wapnick is an expert in A Course in Miracles and has taught the course for over 30 years. His knowledge of the Course’s language and structure, as well as his understanding of its intellectual, psychological, and spiritual depth, makes him a great guide to have by your side on this journey. He is also a master of the art of teaching, and his clarity and humor will greatly enhance your learning.

The workbook contains 365 lessons. It is recommended that you do one lesson a day. The lessons are very short and do not require more than a few minutes to read. The most challenging part of the workbook is making the commitment to do it. Once you have made this commitment, you will find that it is not as hard to do as it seems at first.

This workbook is a must for any student of A Course in Miracles. Even advanced students will gain new insights from this book. The book is divided into chapters that discuss the most important lessons from each section of the course, as well as an extensive appendix with a glossary and concordance of terms found throughout the text.
The Manual for Teachers

When people hear about A Course in Miracles, they are often confused. They may wonder about what the course is really about, and they will also be confused by all of the information that is available on the topic. However, if you take the time to really read through A Course in Miracles, you will find that it is actually not as confusing as it appears to be at first glance.

When you first begin to learn A Course in Miracles, it is important that you read the manual for teachers. This will help you understand the true purpose of the course and its lessons. The manual for teachers is not intended to be a substitute for the Text or the Workbook, but it is designed to aid you in your learning of the course.

For starters, the manual explains that the teacher’s function is to extend the principles of the Course to those who have not yet learned them. This extension is referred to as “teaching” because it helps reinforce the ideas of the Course.

Another part of the manual discusses how the teacher should respond to a magic thought, which is a mistaken belief that something is not right. The teacher should teach his pupil how to handle this type of thinking so that he does not have to deal with it himself.

The final part of the manual deals with the role of the teacher as a healer. The manual states that the healer will offer verbal teaching to his patients, and this should reflect Course principles. The healer should also give healing to his patients. This is a very significant part of the manual, and it should be carefully considered by all students of A Course in Miracles.
The Song of Prayer

Kenneth Wapnick taught A Course in Miracles for 35 years and was recognized as the world's foremost teacher of the Course. He was a close associate of Helen Schucman and William Thetford, the scribes of the Course, and was able to draw upon his deep relationship with Helen during the last eight years of her life to write Absence from Felicity, the book that tells of her time preparing the Course for publication. He also wrote the glossary and concordance of the Course, along with over 30 books on the subject. He and his wife Gloria founded the Foundation for A Course in Miracles, which continues to publish many of these teaching materials in written, audio, and video formats.

The song of prayer was originally recorded by Celine Dion and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in 1999 and included on Dion's greatest hits albums, The Collector's Series, Volume One (2000 – 2002) and My Love: Ultimate Essential Collection (2008). It was re-released in 2008 on the album Taking Chances: Live in Concert with Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, and was featured on the DVD and CD of their tour performances. It was later covered by Tina Arena for her album Symphony of Life (released in 2012). It also appears in a version by the Australian Chamber Orchestra on their compilation The ACO Live CD/DVD (2012).
The Psychotherapy Booklet

In this two-volume set, Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D, explores some of the major themes in the Course and explains how to apply them to your daily life. He addresses common misunderstandings of the teachings of the Course, and he shows you how to use the power of forgiveness to heal your relationships. He also discusses the non-dualistic metaphysics of the Course and reveals its views on time and special relationships.

This is a great place to start if you're new to the Course. It's an easy-to-read introduction to the principles and teachings of the Course. It presents the basic ideas of the Course and includes an original cosmological myth. It also discusses the most important Course principle of not making the error real and focuses on forgiveness.

A Course in Miracles is a book about forgiveness, but its message goes far beyond that. It's a message about changing your whole worldview. It's a message about letting go of the fear that lies at the heart of our lives. This book is an excellent introduction to the Course and will help you understand how the change the world can happen.
