NCVT was formerly known as the national council of training in vocation trades NCTVT. The body is also divide into state-level naming it as SCVT. The sole purpose of introducing NCVT is to implement and oversee overall policies and specifying the necessary standard and curriculum of craftsmen training. NCVT MIS The body also conducts all tests and awards candidates with national trade certificates. The NCVT has the power to conduct the all India test AITT, the apprenticeship training scheme ATS and the craftsmen training scheme CTS.
