$109 flights Scoot doesn’t want you to take
That's the surprising message to Australian travellers from one of the world's top low-cost airlines.飛機票價格
Singapore-based carrier Scoot has launched its latest flight sale by laying down a challenge to Aussie families to become more adventurous in their holiday choices. The airline is suggesting that instead of playing it safe and sticking to destinations close to home - like Singapore - Aussie families should consider heading further afield.
Flights to Singapore from Australia are currently on sale from $109, with fares to India starting from $179, and Athens as low as $319.
"The culture and exotic flavours and sounds of countries such as India are really within reach, budget-wise," Scoot's campaign spiel reads. While Singapore has a reputation as a family-friendly destination - with attractions such as Sentosa Island and the Gardens by the Bay - Scoot says it wants Aussie families to consider other more exotic destinations in its network, too.
The airline says it's making far-flung destinations such as India, Greece, the Philippines and Germany - more accessible and affordable for Australian families.Scoot has enlisted the help of Melbourne 10-year-old Keira Lucas, one of the stars of the blog Our3kidsvtheworld, to talk up the benefits of taking the kids on a big trip in a video spruiking the airline's "Go Beyond" sale.
"Parents, don't put your life on hold any longer," she says in the ad.
"I'm challenging you to go beyond the Outback, to as far away as India."
Scoot's Australian country manager, Jared Simcox, said the campaign aimed to change parents' mindsets about "family-friendly" destinations.
