For Villanova, spring football in 2021 means actual games | Mike Jensen

Alabama officially begins its national title defense when spring practice opens on Friday, March 19. The Crimson Tide bring back 10 starters from last year's championship squad, but coach Nick Saban will have plenty of holes to address when the team hits the field. The high-powered offense that carried Alabama to a national championship will have a new play-caller (Bill O'Brien) and quarterback (Bryce Young) and there are holes to fill at receiver and up front. The Crimson Tide weren't an…

LSU Football: Tigers' 2021 Spring Preview

When a disappointed Furman team walked off the field after a 42-6 loss to Austin Peay in the 2019 FCS playoffs, the Paladins knew the defeat would sit with them for a while.

As it turns out, the wait to play another game was much longer than they ever could have imagined.

That game was Nov. 30, 2019 and would be the last one for Furman until Saturday’s matchup with Western Carolina — the team’s first time playing in 448 days.…

Alabama announces 2021 spring football practice schedule

Boston College football kicks off their spring football session on Saturday but the coaching staff is busy on the recruiting trail. Here are some news and notes about football recruiting.

* Many times folks want to know about players who are "commitment watch", meaning they are going to pledge soon. Two names I would watch out for are Georgia athletes VJ Payne and CJ Clinkscales. College Football Links From Across the Country

Are you not entertained? What the FCS spring season lacks in length and quality, it makes up for in pure, magical nonsense. The best program in the country got blown out by an unranked opponent two weeks ago, and the new No. 1 has now been scared twice into the second half. There were 31 games last week, and 19 were decided by a touchdown. Three went to overtime almost simultaneously on Saturday afternoon.…

Ohio State on Friday opened what coach Ryan Day hopes will be an uninterrupted spring practice as he seeks a new starting quarterback and some normalcy after a tumultuous 2020.

Spring workouts were cut short last March when the coronavirus spread across the country. The Buckeyes practiced three times before spring break and didn’t return to the field as a group until the fall ahead of a delayed and abbreviated season that saw them eventually lose to Alabama in the national…

2021 SEC spring football schedule: Practice dates, game times, TV channels for Alabama, LSU, Georgia and more

It was Saturday around 4:30 p.m. ET. The sun was out, but the air was crisp. My three-person family, as we tend to do on lazy weekend days, was spread out into three different areas of our house. And as I always do when I find myself alone on those such days, I started fiddling with the ESPN App to see what was on.…
