At therapeutic doses, Adderall causes emotional and cognitive effects such as euphoria, changes in sexual desire, increased wakefulness, and improvement in cognitive control. At these doses, it induces physiological effects such as rapid reaction times, fatigue resistance, and increased muscle strength. Conversely, very large doses of Adderall can impair cognitive control, cause rapid muscle breakdown, or cause psychosis.
