Introducing 5083 Aluminium, a seriously strong alloy that’s popular in all sorts of heavy engineering contexts. 5083 Aluminium has a very high resistance to corroding sea water and powerful industrial chemicals. It displays the best strength of all non-heat treatable alloys but isn’t suitable for using in temperatures higher than 65°C. It retains its strength after welding very well indeed. And its blend of good ductility and formability means it works very well in low temperature environments.
