Really worth the wait, sounds are fantastic. down to the bell button, I say that because when you turn off the bell. A small bit of air pressure releases. I'm hoping DTG can do that with the horns to at some point to? As everything is powered by air pressure. One little thing I saw that I thought was strange was, when you turn the ditch lights on you can't hit the J button on your keyboard to turn them on/off or if it's a NS/CSX locomotive flashing/non-flashing? You either can turn them off, or on, or flashing non- stop. But overall I think I'll have a lot of fun with these bad boys. And got them for $9.00 to!. Whilst I certainly admire the painstaking attention to detail that DTM has put into this release, there are a couple of issues that mire what would be a perfect score in my humble opinion, and I sincerely hope that the modelers will take note of this constructive feedback and fix the problem. 1). The driver's position is located too far back, as a result the view of Main / Equaliser reservoir gauge is blocked by the brake / air pedestal. 2). In addition the current view position makes it difficult to view the other gauges; I have noted that the HUD ammeter only works intermittently (and not at all when under dynamic brakes), my personal preference is to view the guages as opposed to relying on HUD information - it is a train simulator after all. 3). Finally, the current driver's position also drastically narrows your field of view outside, this is even more pronounced when running Long nose first through being too far away from the windscreen. There are only 2 views available in the cabs themselves at present, (for running both directions) and both have the same issue of blocking views to a vitally important gauge, restricting the view of the others and the view out front. I do not see how these views could be representative of the real life situation either because a driver needs to see all the gauges in order to safely operate the locomotive, and the apparent distance from the Reverser / Throttle / Dynamic brake handles would suggest only those with abnormally long arms would be able to reach them IRL (if this is modeled accurately). I really want to recommend this content - great pains have been taken by DTM to produce a great bit of DLC, but at present DTM really needs to fix the driver's position, because it is the one (but important) impediment that spoils what would be a perfect simulation of the Dash 7 group represented in this pack. As such, I reluctantly give a thumbs down to this release. Should DTM address this issue, I would gladly change my stance, but until this happens I view this as a great release with a game spoiling flaw.. Very great model DTM goes great job on thhir engines heck they even got a good horn hoever let me tell you the down sides of it bell is a bit quiet class lights lower frame rate ( just for me depends on your machine) and horn is not too respsonisve so you can't do a horn show such as shave and hair cut or jingles bells other than that its a great model. Very nice and very good pulling power for freight thank you very much.. Nice set of locos, decent sounds, too. It would be better if some freight cars were included, but overall nice selection of locomotives.. no side classificaion markings markings and LOD issues. detail is great though.. No tail lights on them just a black box where they would be!
