Zatch casts a skeptical glance at the distressed Kiyo and starts to hand over the book, imitating Praying Mantis Joe, a hero from a TV show. Steng swipes the book without difficulty and roughs up the two, revealing that at someone's request, he captured Kiyo's father to lure Kiyo and Zatch to the castle. Baltro's giant foot looms above Kiyo and Zatch to apply the finishing blow. Just then, Kory manages to swipe the book from Steng! With swift genius, Kiyo impressively gets the book from Kory. As Kiyo and Zatch hurry into the rubble to save them, the Zatch look-alike mamodo Zeno, watching from a distance, defeats the disobedient Baltro and Steng with a fierce bolt of lightning and then vanishes into the woods...
