This is *easily* the best sword-play simulator you're going to see in VR right now.

The environments are great, and it's active enough that it feels like I'm getting healthier as I play, so that's pretty awesome.

The sword cuts are modeled on objects to the point where you could make a ton of tiny slashes to one side of a target, then a few cuts on the other, and it'll accurately fall apart when you've cut away enough pieces.. It's challenging, physically and mentally demanding, and when you start to get good (or at least somewhat decent) at it, it's fun. I've never used a katana before, but if I did, I imagine it would feel like this. The act of gauging the right angle of the blade, and then the strong motion to cut through is really cool. The sword physics are excellent. I have some suggestions though, different sound effects for the different fruit please, also could there be a replay feature so players can look at their movements and figure out what to improve? In a similar vein could there be a tutorial that shows the correct posture and arm/wrist motions? I've been looking at youtube videos and the video of the guy demoing this game to figure out the best way to do it.. An excellent title with great gameplay, it's lots of fun checking the scoreboards after a session to see where I've placed for the day.

Note: I recieved a free copy of this game because I purchased another title which was discontinued, Katana X is far superior to the discontinued title in any case.. Wow! I've only played for a short time, but I can already tell how addictive it is!

Pros-
- Forget the gym. Play this for an hour or two. You will sweat. Prepare for gross face foam. Haha!
- Requires actual skill to play. No waving your hand around to aimlessly score.
- Super addictive. I found myself telling my friends "Just one more round dude, I promise, and then I'm done. Seriously this time. Just... one... more... round. Dude? You still there? Sweet."
- Simple, yet effective graphics. One of my favorite things is how there aren't a bunch of flashy colors and distracting animation. Just slice and dice!
- Awesome hit detection. Requires you to actually swing to slice effectively.

Cons -
- Sweaty. Seriously. So sweaty now.
- Sometimes your sword gets lost in the chaos. I think it's the game punishing you for being too crazy. Stay calm and parry on.

Recommend. Absolutely.

. Ive spent way more time playing this than I thought, tatamis are strangly addictive and satisfying to cut. Definately the most realistic sword physics Ive experience in VR so far.. Slice and dice home slice.

Pros:
Decent physics
accurate sword handling and slicing
4 enviornments
cool leader boards

Cons:
Serious waste of fruits
water gfx seem irrationally expensive on the hardware in two enviornments. Put that on the lowest (1080 ti for me) and super sample it higher instead.
. i dont recommend this game , i dont know if you had the same problem as me but i had an issue where the fruit would not cut through most items ans took brute force to cut through when i did. all i did was smack the fruit off the map or cut half way through the totems. i would have loved to have fun with this game but unfortunately i cant say that :( had to get a refund
